I woke up today to an award! How cool is that?
Mireia, from Baking in Spain, selected me to be one of the recipients of the Versatile Blogger Award!
When I started this food blog, a mere 7 weeks ago, I immediately got in touch with amazing bloggers all over the world. My virtual friendship with Mireia was one of the first ones. We share a passion for baking that I think is stronger because we also share Spanish as our first language, but felt an English blog would be more available to everyone.
We definitely agree that these kinds of awards are not important, but just a big hug from those who like what we write. It´s the warmest feeling.
So I immensely thank Mireia for opening my path to the domino effect that this kind of things have. In the end, it´s a great way to get the word out about blogs you like that might interest others also.
Here are the official rules:
- Add the award to your blog
- Thank the blogger who gave it to you
- Mention 7 random things about yourself
- List the rules
- Award to 15 bloggers
- Inform each of those 15 by leaving a comment on their blogs or on Facebook
Here are my awards; very difficult to choose only fifteen. These blogs I obviously like and follow, for different reasons, and many are probably very well known, but I discovered some of them these past two months, which proves that many great food blogs are not immediately found.
Seven things you might not know about me:
I hate fish and shellfish so much that I just say I´m allergic so people stop asking me to try it again.
I was born in Argentina, 43 years ago, in a province called Córdoba, where I still have many relatives.
I have Irish ancestors, from my mother´s side, whose last name is Fitz Gerald.
I lived in California for 2 years, when I was 13 and hated it! Sorry, but I was a teenager.
At one point in my life I was married and had 5 stepchildren. Yes, five!
I used to have two amazing dogs, golden retrievers, named Pericles and Violeta. I still miss them.
I talk and walk in my sleep.
