Irish 🍀 Soda Bread (no-yeast!)

Only 4 ingredients needed: flour, salt, baking soda, and buttermilk

Stir flour, salt and sifted baking soda together

Add buttermilk and mix quickly with a wooden spoon

Dump onto a floured surface, sprinkle with flour and form a loose ball

It will be wet and sticky but don't be tempted to add more flour

Transfer to a baking sheet and score the top making a cross

Bake as directed until golden and let cool on a wire rack

It's best eaten warm the day it's baked
