Flour Salt  Baking Soda Buttermilk

ONLY 4 INGREDIENTS

It bakes to a golden brown and can be cut warm.

Stir flour, salt and sifted baking soda together.

Add buttermilk and mix quickly with a wooden spoon.

Dump onto a floured surface, sprinkle with flour and form a loose ball.

It will be wet and sticky but don't be tempted to add too much flour.

Transfer to a baking sheet and score making a cross.

Bake as directed until golden and let cool on a wire rack.

It's best eaten warm the day it's baked.
