Mix dry ingredients with sugar and cold butter pieces

Work to integrate, with your hands, a pastry cutter, or the food processor (instructions in the blog post)

The butter should be the size of peas, roughly

Add flavorings, beaten egg, and liquids and mix lightly with fork or spoon

Though it's very floury, if you grab some dough with your hand it will come together

Add blueberries and mix lightly trying not to crush them

Dump onto a clean surface and bring the dough together flattening it into a round. Don't overwork it!

Cut into 6 wedges and place on a parchment-lined cookie sheet

Bake as directed and check that the inside is completely baked

Cool down on a wire rack and enjoy!
