Spicy Aioli (garlicky sauce)

Aioli is a fantastic one-step, 10-minute condiment! I use Sriracha, but other hot sauces also work. We use it as a spread and a dip and for drizzling over meats, veggies, wraps, sandwiches and pretty much on everything we can.

Total Time 10 minutes
Servings 1 cup

Ingredients

  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 2-3 tablespoons sriracha or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice
  • 2 garlic cloves finely grated or finely minced
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • 1 and ½ teaspoons runny honey optional for a little sweetness
  • Pinch of black pepper optional

Instructions

  • Stir the mayonnaise, Sriracha, lime juice, garlic, and salt (also black pepper and honey if using) in a medium bowl until completely integrated. Taste and adjust to your personal taste.
  • Keep refrigerated in a glass jar with a tight lid or an airtight container for 5-7 days.

Notes

Adjust the spiciness: start with 2 tablespoons. Give it a taste test and then increase the heat if needed.
Use it as a salad dressing by thinning it with more lime juice or a little water.
Vegan/dairy-free: substitute the regular mayo for one that adjusts to your special diet needs.
