For the Cake
Fresh strawberries
All-purpose flour
Baking powder
INGREDIENTS
Table salt
Unsalted butter
Granulated sugar
Eggs
For the Glaze
Strawberries
Vanilla extract
Orange zest
Cream cheese
Powdered sugar
Beat the butter in stand mixer, add sugar gradually and eggs one at a time.
FOR THE CAKE
Add vanilla with orange zest and mix. Then sift the dry ingredients (flour, salt & baking powder) and add to egg batter.
Add the dry ingredients in two parts, alternating with sour cream. Mix well then add the fresh, cut strawberries & mix with a spatula.
Put the batter in the prepared pan and smooth the top. Bake for about 45 minutes, until it rises & the top cracks.
BAKE
Puree the strawberries and mix with powdered sugar. Drizzle the glaze over and let it dry before cutting.
