Peach Cobbler Pound Cake

FOR PEACH LOVERS   Two favorites in one: a vanilla pound cake with a thick layer of peach slices and a biscuit-like topping.

INGREDIENTS

Peaches Unsalted butter Sugar Eggs Flour Salt Baking powder Vanilla Orange zest

Butter and sugar should be well creamed before eggs are added, one at a time.

CREAMING

Flavorings (vanilla and orange zest) are added after the creaming is over.

FLAVORINGS

Flour is added in two parts. It's important that you don't overbeat at this point!

DRY INGREDIENTS

Cream cheese is added in between the flour additions for better mixing.

CREAM CHEESE

Combine the biscuit topping ingredients in a small bowl. Don't overmix.

TOPPING

Spread cake batter in the pan, top with peach slices, and biscuit topping.

TOP LAYER

Follow baking instructions in the recipe card to get a gorgeous golden cake.
