So, it's doughnut week, starting today! And I couldn't be happier with the phenomenal doughnut (donut if you like) recipe round-up I put together for you!

But first of all, the most important question: doughnut or donut? fried or baked?

Fried doughnuts are the real deal in my opinion. Made with yeast and fried in oil, they are the original stuff, the ones that have been around forever. And spelled the old-fashioned way, doughnuts.

Baked donuts, made with baking powder are, in my very humble opinion, a twist generated by the need to eat less fried foods. And I agree they are wonderful. And they can be adapted for many special diets. So they get my vote too. It depends on the level of indulgence I want that day! Does that happen to you too?
