Fudge is one of the easiest and most delicious candy.

This one is similar to the popular condensed milk fudge, but sweeter and a bit whimsical with its eye-catching pink color.

I'm more old-fashioned and don't share many bright pink recipes made with store-bought frosting, but it turned out to be a winner at my niece's birthday.

You can mix and match different candy melts with frostings and find unique fudge flavors.

    Ingredient list

    • Candy melts: strawberry-flavored chocolate.
    • Strawberry frosting: from the store, like Pillsbury Supreme strawberry frosting.

See the recipe card towards the end of this post for quantities.

    How to make strawberry fudge

Pouring thin pink frosting into glass bowl with melted pink chocolate.

Melt the candy melts and warm the frosting until pourable. Mix both until smooth and even colored.

Parchment paper lined square pan with pink strawberry fudge before solidifying.

Place the pink mixture in a parchment-lined pan. Smack lightly to dissolve large air bubbles. Let solidify.

    Storage

    • Keep the fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and in the freezer for up to 3 months.
    • When fresh out of the fridge or freezer, let the fudge warm up a bit, or it will be a little hard.
    • Avoid dryness: once you cut the fudge, don't leave it out long or it will dry up quickly.

    • Total Time: 4 hours 10 minutes
    • Yield: 16 pieces (1-inch)

    Ingredients

    • 1 can (16-ounces) strawberry frosting
    • 12-ounce strawberry candy melts

    Instructions

    1. Line an 8-inch square pan with parchment paper.
    2. Place the candy melts in a medium mixing bowl and microwave for 2 minutes, pausing every 15 seconds to stir them so they don’t burn or overcook. Stir until they are smooth and lump-free.
    3. You need to warm the strawberry frosting to make it pourable. Remove the lid and every tiny piece of foil from the can. Make sure no metal remains. If unsure, transfer to a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave for 1 minute.
    4. Pour the melted frosting into the bowl with the melted pink chocolate and stir vigorously until thoroughly combined. It should be evenly colored and smooth.
    5. Pour the mixture into the prepared pan and spread evenly. Tap the pan on the counter several times to burst air bubbles before placing it in the refrigerator.
    6. Chill for 4 hours or until set.
    7. Cut into 1-inch pieces and serve.

    Notes

    • Keep the fudge in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks and in the freezer for up to 3 months.
    • When fresh out of the fridge or freezer, let the fudge warm up a little so it softens up enough to eat.
    • Avoid dryness: once you cut the fudge, don't leave it out long or it will dry up quickly.
    • Extra strawberry flavor: add strawberry extract or freeze-dried strawberry powder and mix well before pouring the fudge in the pan.
